CONTEMPORARY SITTINGS
Contemporary sittings should not be confused with our Standard sittings which take place at the client’s home or at our Hungerford studios, where as Contemporary sittings only take place in our Hungerford studios.
They are taken in the digital format, normally using bright colours on a white background. They involve lots of movement, laughter and fun and produce a totally clean and contemporary look which can be seen in our Contemporary gallery.
By their very nature they are not ideal for all and we suggest that families with children between the ages of 3 and 12 will get the most benefit from them. No traditional portraiture is involved in these sittings.

Sitting Explained
- Sittings can only take place in our Hungerford studios. The photographer is Edward Shepherd.
- Sittings are taken in the digital format in colour. Reprints will be available in black and white as well.
- This is a children’s or family sitting, for up to 6 or 8 persons.
- Allow 1½ hours for a sitting of 6 persons and 2 hours for 8 persons.
- Each child is photographed individually and we also take some very informal family groups if required.
- A family of 3 children normally produces approximately 75 photos from which you may choose.
- The sitting fee includes one mounted and signed photograph up 12 x 8 inches.

- Images will be available for viewing within 10 days of the sitting and orders within 4 weeks of order.
- All prices shown on this site exclude VAT.
Clothing
The choice of clothing is very important indeed. We will advise you on what you should bring during the booking process.
Framing
Unlike many Contemporary studios we are more than happy to sell you un-framed photographs. However to get the very best out of the photographs from a contemporary sitting it is very important that they are framed and displayed with a lot of care and thought.
With our own framing workshop and showroom on site we are in an ideal position to supply you with the frame of your choice. Browse the show room and talk to our framer at the time of your sitting.
