Richard Greenly Photography will be visiting Eton as usual during 2010 to take photographs for Portraits and Cut Outs. There will be three visits in the Lent Half, ideal for new boys and all other years and five visits in the Summer Half aimed mainly at leavers but all other years are welcome too.
These photographic sessions take place on selected Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 4.30 and 7.30pm. Sittings will take approximately 10-12 minutes per boy. During the sitting we will take a series of full-length, three quarter length and head and shoulders photographs. Photographs can be in black and white or colour. After the sitting you will be sent a set of 15 proof photographs on a contact sheet from which you can select your Portraits and Cut Outs. Cut Outs are normally in black and white and stand approximately 7 inches high on a small wooden plinth.

If you would like your Son or Sons included in one of the photographic sessions in either the Lent or Summer half of 2010, please complete and return a booking form per boy to this office, by no later than the end of the third week of the appropriate half. To ensure Housemasters are in no way burdened by the administration of this activity, please ensure that all bookings and financial arrangements are made direct with this office.
Once bookings are made we will send a letter to each boy containing the necessary instructions to ensure he knows when and where the sitting will take place. We totally understand that there are many calls on a boy's time at Eton and if he is unable to make the appointment offered, he should let us know at least 12 hours before the sitting and we will offer him an alternative.
This brochure and booking form will not be sent out again until November 2010 for sittings in 2011. Please therefore act now if you wish your son to be photographed at Eton by Richard Greenly during 2010. Please do it now and then it's done! Last year quite a few leavers missed out because they left it too late.
From the results of your sitting at Eton we can produce a vast range of different and interesting products. With your proofs we will include a copy of our full children's photography brochure, which gives details and illustrations of all the products available.

brothers
If two or more brothers are having individual sittings, we are very happy to take some photographs of them together and these joint photographs are free of charge.
pop
I am very happy to take a group photograph of some or all members of Pop each year and the result can either be used as a Cut Out or group portrait. One member of Pop should organize the sitting with us, which will be free of charge. A set of proofs and order forms will be sent to the boy in charge, who should then disseminate them to the others.
leavers groups
If a leaver is having a sitting and if as part of that sitting he would like a couple of photographs with some of his special friends (maximum 4), we are happy to do this at no extra charge within his individual sitting.
cut outs
A Cut Out is made by mounting a photograph on a piece of 3mm thick wood then very carefully cutting around the outline of the photo and mounting the resulting statuette on a small plinth with a baize base. This process is ideal for full-length subjects, especially those in school uniform or sports clothes.
full portrait sittings
We have allocated time at Eton in both the Lent and Summer Half for some full portrait sittings. These sittings are for the parent who wants more choice and quality than we can produce in a 10-12 minute standard Eton sitting. Sittings take 90 minutes and produce up to 60 good portrait photographs. These photographs can be taken in up to 2 different orders of dress and will be in black and white and colour. We will take the standard sitting in a studio environment followed by a series of photos around the College. The Sitting fee is £375.00 inclusive VAT. All full sittings are taken by Richard Greenly personally. Please call the office to make this booking or simply tick the appropriate box at the bottom of the booking form and we will get in touch.
