A GOODBYE NOTE FROM RICHARD GREENLY PHOTOGRAPHY!!

Sadly we have been swept clean by the new Bursar’s brush and we will therefore not be taking portrait photographs at St Mary’s Ascot any more.

The Bursar is not convinced that ours is the type of photography that you the parents want. He also feels that the school should benefit from our attendance there and that he can get you a better deal elsewhere.

I hope this works and you the Parents get what you want. I have to say when we were parents of school children this was not the case, which is why I started offering a service to schools in the first place!!

If you find you do not get what you want, do please let the Bursar know and secondly we are more than willing to do school sittings in the studio at our Hungerford Offices. Please do give us a call to make arrangements. 01488685256

• As this is the first year we have visited St Mary's Ascot we have no sample photos to show you. I suggest you go to the Downe House page and this will give you a good idea as to what we produce.

This portrait photography service at St Mary's Ascot is entirely optional and operates on selected Monday and Friday afternoons between 4-8pm during the Michaelmas Term to catch new girls and the Summer Term to catch Leavers. All years however, are welcome during either term.

It is important to note that these are not the archetypal school photographs you are perhaps used to. We aim is to produce very high quality portraits in black and white or colour which will last a lifetime. The mood we set out to capture is more one of photos "at home" rather than school photos.

Sittings are kept as informal as possible within a studio setting in the Old Laundry (room 13) and will last approx 10 minutes each. During the sitting we will take approximately 15 photographs; both half length and head and shoulders portraits. Within three weeks of the sitting we send you a contact sheet from which you can select your photographs. Photographs will be taken in black and white unless you request otherwise on the booking form. All girls can be photographed in home clothes of their choice, their school uniform or selected sports clothes. Please state your requirements on the booking form.

We are very happy to photograph sisters together and small groups of leavers together for Portraits and Cut Outs.

The cost of the sitting to include photography, film, proofs, postage, packing and VAT is as follows: -

To ensure the School is in no way burdened by the administration of this activity, all bookings and financial arrangements should be made direct with this office.

Those wishing to take part in the next Summer term 2007, should now complete and return the booking form at the top of this page. This must reach us by no later than the 2nd week of the term. Please don't delay, do it now!! Quite a lot of parents missed the boat last summer term because with everything else going on they forgot to send in the form on time and because of exams we start visiting early in the term.

Once bookings are received here we will send each girl taking part a letter giving date, time, venue and clothing instructions and a copy will also be sent the parents who hopefully will jog their children's memories.

A new brochure covering the Michaelmas term 2007 and the summer term 2008 will be sent at the end of this summer term.
