We can make copies of almost any photograph even without the negative as long as there are no copyright problems. As a guideline please see copying prices below. These prices will be confirmed with a quote once we have had sight of material to copy. Prices are for straight copies no re-touching done. Please remember that very old photographs have a finite life and this copying procedure gives these photos a hundred years more life. It also produces a digital negative from which you can make inexpensive re-prints at any stage.

The first stage of all photographic restoration is to copy the original in the digital format. We then do all the restoration work on the copy we have made.
There are very few damaged photos that we cannot repair. Common scenarios are as follows:-
Serious fading, scratches, stains, creases and areas missing
Once the restoration work has been done on the computer we print a new photograph and send it to you with the original.
It is difficult to give an exact price without seeing the photograph to be restored. The chart below will give you an idea of the sums involved. We will quote for all photos submitted.

oils, water colours and pastels

Digital technology allows us to make near perfect copies of oils paintings, water colours and pastels. We can reproduce them on a multitude of art papers and canvasses to best suit the original. This is a great way of sharing things with the rest of the family.
The price range is too large to publish here but to give you and idea a 16 x 20 inch pastel copied and reproduced would start at £55.00. A 30 x 20 inch oil painting copied and reproduced on canvas would start at £224.50.
cleaning and restoration of watercolours
Over time watercolours can become damaged or stained. We can clean and repair them thereby restoring them to their former glory. We will quote for each painting once we have had sight of it. Paintings are insured while on the premises but it is always wise to have your own insurance.
cleaning and restoration of oil paintings
Time takes its toll on all oil paintings and once in a while you should remove the grime that accumulates on the surface of a painting. This relatively simple surface cleaning should not be confused with restoration. A 20x24 inch oil can be cleaned for as little as £80.00. See guide prices below.
We also undertake restoration work for damaged oil paintings. A quote and delivery date will be given for each painting.
