Cancellation PolicyNo one likes to issue or receive an invoice for a cancellation fee and we avoid it where ever possible because no one wins. Situations however do occur from time to time when late cancellations by clients cost us a great deal of time and money. Unlike most photographers we do not charge deposits for portrait sittings at the time of the booking because we are convinced that if we treat our clients with integrity they will do the same to us. Late cancellations for the studio sittings are generally not a problem and we can usually be very understanding! Late cancellations when I am on tour however are a serious problem and at best It means I have to spend 4 hours in a lay bye. At worst it can cost us up to £750 in lost revenue and make a whole trip unprofitable to say nothing of its affect on other peoples travel fees and the fact that I still have to pay hotel bills and motoring costs. Because we operate all over the UK and abroad a great deal of time is spent fitting in sittings to suit each and every client’s wishes and It is more than likely that we have already has to refuse other clients, your space. We are always very understanding in a real emergency but we do find it hard not to send out a cancellation fee when we are told we are being cancelled because someone forgot a hair appointment.
